NCMA CERTIFICATIONS
Professional designations of distinction, NCMA Certifications carry the respect of your peers, partners, and employers.
Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM)
Who Should Pursue the CPCM Certification?
Contract professionals who have mastered the majority of the contract management competencies in the Contract Management Body of Knowledge (CMBOK), extensive business education and training, and a minimum of 5 years of experience can apply for the CPCM certification.
Eligibility requirements:
A degree from a regionally or Distance Education Accreditation Council (DEAC) accredited institution at the bachelor’s level.
Degrees from outside the United States must be evaluated by an independent third party, such as World Education Services, Foreign Credits, Credit Eval, Info Check USA, or SpanTran.
Five years of work experience in the contract management or related field.
A minimum of 120 hours of continuing professional education (see our Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Guide for details).
EXAM FEES
NCMA Application Fee:
$225 for NCMA members
$425 for nonmembers (includes complimentary one-year membership)
Exam Provider Fee:
Paid by test-taker.
$135 per exam (United States and Canada)
$160 per exam (International)

Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM)
Who Should Pursue the CCCM Certification?
Contracting professionals who have education, training, knowledge of the Uniform Commercial Code, and a minimum of 1 year of experience can apply for the CCCM certification.
Eligibility requirements:
- A degree from a regionally or Distance Education Accreditation Council (DEAC) accredited institution at the bachelor’s level. Non-degreed candidates with at least 10 years of verifiable contract management experience may request a waiver.
Degrees from outside the United States must be evaluated by an independent third party, such as World Education Services, Foreign Credits, Credit Eval, Info Check USA, or SpanTran.
One year of work experience in the contract management or related field.
A minimum of 80 hours of continuing professional education (see our Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Guide for details).

Certified Federal Contract Manager (CFCM)
Who Should Pursue the CFCM Certification?
Federal contract managers (buyers and sellers) who participate in federal government contract actions,
State and local contract managers (buyers and sellers) who participate in contract actions involving federal funds,
Those who have a general interest in federal contract management (e.g., academicians, consultants, researchers, regulatory authorities, representatives of accrediting organizations, representatives of other organizations, etc.).
Eligibility requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree. Non-degreed candidates with at least 5 years of verifiable contract management experience plus 24 college credits that align with the CMBOK competencies may request a waiver.
- Degrees from outside the United States must be evaluated by an independent third party, such as World Education Services, Scholaro, Credit Eval, Info Check USA, or SpanTran.
- Two years of work experience in contract management or related field.
- A minimum of 80 hours of CPE/CLP (see our Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Guide for details).

Certified Contract Management Associate (CCMA)
Who Should Pursue the CCMA Certification?
Anyone with a 4-year degree from a regionally accredited college with less than one year of experience in contract management,
Buyers and sellers with at least one year of contract management experience without a regionally accredited 4-year degree,
Buyers interested in understanding how their actions impact sellers and sellers interested in understanding how their actions impact buyers, and
Anyone interested in understanding the foundational aspects of the contract life cycle.
Eligibility requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree OR one year of work experience in the contract management or related field.
- Degrees from outside the United States must be evaluated by an independent third party, such as World Education Services, Scholaro, Credit Eval, Info Check USA, or SpanTran.
- A minimum of 40 hours of CPE/CLP (see our Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Guide for details).
