Derek Greene began his acquisition career with the Department of Defense as a Contract Specialist where he was involved in the acquisitions of construction, major weapon systems, and Federally Funded Research and Development Centers. Mr. Greene continued my career with the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) at the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR) with the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) where he was involved in several emergency acquisitions to combat the Covid 19 pandemic to include vaccines, therapeutics, and diagnostics.

Mr Greene is currently a Procurement Analyst at the National Institute of Standards and Technology with the Department of Commerce where he conducts data analysis, promotes innovation throughout acquisitions, and assists the acquisition workforce in achieving their goals.

My experiences have afforded me the opportunity to work with diverse populations to unite and effectively build a positive rapport to meet the mission within and across agencies.
